Comments :    Have nothing but good things to say about both Dr Pernell and the rest of the staff. Our poor baby was not feeling well and needed surgery, he came thru with flying colors! On a side note....being foolish and leaving headlights on while at the office, my battery died and Dr Pernell showed his skills in jumping the battery off. Wow talk about service! The office also left a msg asking how Tyrion was doing the next day, very caring of them.

Comments :    Dr. Pernell and his staff have been taking care of our three dogs for two years now. My wife and I cannot say enough positive things about them. His diagnostic abilities are second to none. He has been able to quickly diagnose a problem at least 3 times and take the immediate required to save our dogs' lives. Everyone on staff is polite, professional and friendly. They all seem to really love animals and our three dogs always responded positively to them. 12 days ago our 10 year old male German Sheppard, who had never been sick a day in his life, suddenly and unexpectedly died. We rushed him to Dr. Pernell's office in complete denial. Dr. Pernell and staff were with us immediately. There was nothing to be done. However, they treated Fritz with such dignity. They also treated us with such compassion trying to comfort us at a time of such great loss. Dr. Pernell very gently asked me how we would like to handle Fritz's remains. He even called the next day to see how we and our two remaining dogs were doing in Fritz's absence. Two days ago we brought Fritz home, his remains being so caringly and professionally handled. I have referred numerous people to Dr. Pernell because there is no doubt in my mind that he will provide the very best care for their animals.

Comments :    I would like to extend my thanks to Dr. Jonathan Pernell and his staff at Laurel Park Animal Hospital for their help in the recent euthanizing and cremation of my 15-year-old-Labrador retriever, Promise. Their care, compassion and professionalism made the process of saying goodbye to a beloved pet much easeir, and I highly recommend their services.

Comments :    I have recently changed from another vet to Dr. Pernell and his staff. First impressions decided whether I walk out the door or stay, and this staff smiling at Simba first and me second kept me there, holding her gently and me hearing no cries from her while in their care will make me stay. I put a lot of value in body language from the person touching our little Simba and they do a beautiful job with her.Dr. Pernell is patient, soft spoken and can read his patients owners facial expressions. This is vital in a vet. I would recommend this facility to anyone. And thanks to everyone on staff.

Comments :    I was very impressed with the care and compassion my dog and cat received from staff and Dr. Pernell. They understood that our animals are a part of the family. I'll be using them in the future for whatever our needs are for our pets. Highly recommended.

Comments :    Having had a bad experience at my previous vets I changed to Laurel Park Animal Hospital. They are more convenient to my home as well. I want to use Vets that I feel truly value and care about all animals not just mine. I want to know that they understand my anxiety when I have a sick or dying pet and that it matters to them. That's the feeling I have always gotten with Dr. Pernell and his staff. For that reason I have no hesitation in recommending them to any and all of my animal loving friends. Dr. Pernell was especially wonderful a few months ago when I had an emergency with my dog Lacey. He never hesitated to meet me back at his office after hours on short notice.

Comments :    My husband, two sons, our newly adopted dog, and I were in town from Illinois visiting my parents and brother. A couple of days into the vacation, our dog, Clover, started worrying us that she might be ill. My brother's dog Jack is a patient of Laurel Park Animal Hospital and my brother had nothing but great things to say about everyone there. He called for us and we were there a hour later! All the staff were so wonderful to us and we felt that we had their full & caring attention. That, I think, says alot about them seeing as we probably would not be back. (Although, I said I may plan her yearly check-ups around our vacation :) She was diagnosed with a few (4) issues and is now fully recovered. My family and I would just like to thank everyone there so much for taking such great care of our new family member, Clover. She is a joy!

Comments :    I first met Dr. Pernell in 2006 at his former veterinary practice when I moved to the area with a dog and cat – both of whom had health issues. I was delighted when he purchased the Laurel Park Animal Hospital as it halved my journey! Dr. Pernell and his staff are to be congratulated for their first rate skills, compassionate care and warm friendly office. Dr. Pernell always discusses my pets’ health and problems in full. When my cat developed hyperthyroidism he went through options and made the necessary referrals. When it was time for BBea, my Shar Pei, to go over the rainbow, he kindly came to the house. Now I have two young bouncy Cairn Terriers and Dr. Pernell is continuing with their care as well as Sheba, the cat, who still is queen! Luckily, if you have an emergency, the staff will do everything to fit you into the schedule. Alternatively they will ask you to bring your pet to the office for the day and Dr. Pernell will examine him/her and contact you by phone with a diagnosis, which you can further discuss when you collect your pet. I have had no hesitation in referring several friends to Laurel Park Animal Hospital as I know they will get the top rate treatment we all want for our four legged friends.
